06 / Good to know

A clearer answer.
A better next step.

From your first question to an agreed repair plan, here’s what to expect.

Ask Southern Sky
Can you help if I’m not sure what’s wrong?

Yes. You don’t need a diagnosis to contact us. Share your RV details, what you’re noticing, and your location. We’ll discuss the concern and confirm whether it falls within our team’s training, certifications, and capabilities.

Do you offer mobile service?

Yes. Our standard mobile service area covers a 50-mile radius of Montgomery, Texas. Outside that area? Please ask. Service beyond our standard area may be available by prior agreement, with availability, rates, and any travel fees confirmed before scheduling. View our standard service area map.

Do you repair motorhome engines, including diesel engines?

We currently do not perform engine repairs. We do service other RV systems within our team’s qualifications. If you’re unsure which system is causing the problem, describe what you’re noticing and we’ll discuss the appropriate next step.

What types of RVs do you work on?

Our primary focus is travel trailers, fifth wheels, and trailers with living quarters. Have a motorhome, camper van, or another RV? Tell us the year, make, model, and concern so we can confirm whether we can help with the requested work.

How do I get an estimate?

Send your RV’s year, make, and model, a description of the concern, and useful photos. Some issues require an on-site assessment or diagnostic work before an accurate estimate is possible. We’ll discuss any assessment charges and provide the proposed scope and pricing for review.

What happens if you find additional damage or work?

We document the findings and discuss the additional scope and cost with you. Additional work requires documented customer authorization before exceeding the authorized amount.

Are there mobile service fees or parts deposits?

Mobile service may include a dispatch/service-call fee, diagnostic or repair labor, and any agreed travel charges. Additional visits may carry another dispatch fee. Special-order parts normally require a deposit before ordering. We’ll confirm the applicable charges and deposit terms in your quote or authorization.

Can I ask about insurance-related repairs?

Yes. Share the damage, your claim status, and any relevant carrier requirements. We’ll review the project and discuss the repair scope and documentation. Insurance-related work depends on customer authorization, applicable carrier or supplement approval, parts availability, and any vendor requirements.

Do you handle warranty-related requests?

Tell us about the issue and the warranty involved so we can review the request. Manufacturer or third-party warranty work requires applicable authorization and eligibility. Any warranty terms for Southern Sky’s work or supplied parts will be stated with the applicable repair documentation.

Can I discuss a larger restoration or shop-based repair?

Yes. Tell us what you want to preserve, repair, or improve, along with your priorities and desired timing. Larger or weather-sensitive projects may need a suitable facility. We’ll confirm the work location and capability before scheduling. A permanent shop location is still being finalized; contact us before arranging any drop-off.

How long will the repair take?

Timing depends on diagnosis, scope, parts availability, access, scheduling, and any required approvals. Some repairs can be completed during one visit; others need ordered parts or additional visits. We’ll discuss anticipated timing and communicate changes as the work develops.

How do I schedule service?

Email contact@ssrvrnr.com or use our service request form. Include your location, repair needs, and any trip deadline. We’ll discuss the next steps and arrange an appointment based on availability. A request does not itself book an appointment.

What should I do before my service appointment?

Make sure we can access the RV and the area needing repair. Secure pets, move personal items out of the work area, and tell us whether electricity and water are available. Have your RV details, service history, and any fault codes or relevant documents ready.

How do I email a request from this website?

Email contact@ssrvrnr.com directly, or use the optional request form to organize your message. Select “Review your email,” then “Open email app.” Add useful photos and send the draft there. You can also copy the message into your usual inbox. We confirm appointments separately.
